crochet granny square tote bag FREE PATTERN

 This pattern is for a tote bag just like the ones in urban outfitters at the moment. I'd describe the skill level as advanced beginner. It turns out super cute and roomy to fit all your stuff in.  note: everything is in UK terms ABBREVIATIONS: ch = chain ss = slip stitch  dc = double crochet hdc = half double crochet one cluster = 3dc YOU WILL NEED: - approximately 400g of yarn in multiple colours (I used black, cream, beige, purple, pink, green and yellow) - 3.5mm hook - scissors - yarn needle GRANNY SQUARE: before starting choose the main colour for your bag, this is the colour on the outside of every square and the colour of your strap. This means that colour E should always be the same colour. round 1: with colour A make a slip knot. Ch 4. Join to the first chain with a ss to form a loop.
